net-a-porter.com

The layout of the website is set out like a fashion magazine because the home page of the site has many images with subheadings that when clicked on will lead onto the main pages ie. like the front of a fashion magazine that shows the main topics. The front of a magazine has alot of imagery. Net-a-porter is the worlds online luxury fashion retailer just for women with the hottest looks of the season from intenational cutting edge labels.

Farfetch.com

The website is very simple but easy to understand with a chronological order of all the designers names, however the site does not use much imagery. The boutiques are very diverse representing a different facet of fashion and each with a very individual view point. Farfetch.com unites fashion lovers with independent boutiques around the world. There are over 1000 fashion labels to shop from for both men and women.

The Village Bicycle

The Village Bicycle was set up a year ago along Ledbury Road. The shop is about young, new designers having a chance to showcase their work and will be showcasing their own work soon. What I love about this place was the atmosphere, it was fun and chilled. The walls were bright and arty with cool furnishings. At the front of the store are comfy sofas with cushions to make you feel at home.

Beyond Retro

Beyond Retro is a vintage store just off Brick lane. This vintage store has to be one of the best around with its bright, vibrant, printed garments. You can find one-off individual pieces for men and women. The garments are very cheap and you can always guarantee a good find. The outside of the shop looks very run down and old, with no window displays. The shop also creates this feel on the inside with its concrete floors and old furnishings.

Absolute Vintage

Absolute Vintage is a cool, unique vintage store just off Brick lane which has one off goods. The prices are reasonable and you can always find a good bargain. On a Saturday and Sunday this area will be bustling with people looking for a great deal.

Present

Present is a menswear store which stocks many different brands, mainly American. The store is placed in Shoredich which is a quirky, arty area. The store when you enter is not that welcoming and the staff didn't seem to want to help.

Oxfam boutique

Oxfam Boutique is placed in Westbourne Grove Nottinghill which is a very wealthy area. This Oxfam contains designer second hand clothing. Every thing is laid out nicely with the garments on wooden hangers because this Oxfam is no ordinary Oxfam store. This store is trying to be more like a boutique with second hand designer clothing.
