Liberty

Liberty is the leading destination store in London, a wonderful emporium where the latest fashions sit alongside design classics. The store regularly sponsors new designers, showcasing their cutting edge style to the public. As well as just stocking designer clothing, the store is also renowned for its quality fabrics e.g. Liberty silks. Liberty is also famous for its great furnishings. The ground floor has a strong focus at attracting the tourists, displaying trinkets, gifts and attractive souvenirs.

This beautiful Tudor building just gives that wow factor from the outside to the inside. It makes you feel like you are going back in time when you enter, but the clothing inside is modern and up to date. Compared to somewhere like Selfridges, Liberty has a more relaxed feel where you don't feel pressured into buying something. Rather then going in with a specific purchase in mind you can take your time appreciating what they have to offer.

What I love about this building is the wooden feel on the outside and inside, which creates warmth to the store. The store is very spacious and open planned, with all the designers set out in a prestigious way. As you enter there is a lift to the different levels of Liberty. Or you could take the beautiful wooden staircase. There is not a store in London that has this great historical feel like the Liberty has which opened in 1875.
